NAS Data Recovery
Network Attached Storage (NAS) is a hard disk system with its own LAN IP (local area network Internet protocol) address, as opposed to being attached to a central department computer that serves applications to a network. It has its own software for mapping file locations, and consists of RAID disk arrays that combine your company's storage needs. More simply, NAS is a controlled common storage system this is accessed over the local area network.
Since NAS data is filed in RAID arrays separate from the server, the files are easily and quickly accessible. Also, if a company maintains several servers with different operating systems, management and backup of the data can be centralised. Importantly, NAS storage space is expandable and brings added fault tolerance to the network through mirror RAID features.
If your NAS storage mediums or devices fail, don't try to rebuild them with software that deletes index data, as this can F-disk your files. These storage platforms use
RAID O
or
RAID 1
, and fall under RAID recovery principles for data retrieval. During NAS data recovery, a typical hard drive recovery is often required before data can be extracted.
