Mirroring consists of the duplication of data onto two disks, so that there are two sets of identical information, therefore containing extra storage precautions. RAID 1 consists of two identical disks, so if one of these disks loses data or data is damaged, that disk can be restored by means of recovery whilst the other is still in perfect working order.
Even though RAID 1 is purchased by many for its fault tolerance, there is the chance, as with any storage system, that one of RAID 1’s disks will fail and this means that you will need to implement RAID 1 recovery. RAID 1 recovery will retrieve data that has been lost by one of the faulty disks that is no longer functioning.
RAID 1 recovery can be time consuming, and if you do not have the appropriate recovery technology and skills at hand, you could unintentionally harm the disks. Letting an MVI Data Recovery professional take over your RAID 1 disk failure will result in the return of your disks and data in perfect working order. You may then install your second disk and yet again have that extra prevention against data loss and damage.
So if one or both of your RAID 1 disks refuse to work due to damage or data loss, then RAID 1 data recovery performed by the MVI Data Recovery technicians will restore any data that is not currently accessible.
